The number of valid television fees totalled 1 947 044 at the end of December 2007. There was a decline of 2,489 pcs. in comparison with the previous month. Since the beginning of 2007, 31,970 households have terminated their television fees because of the transition to digital television.
The television fee is a statutory fee that must be paid if the household can receive television transmissions in real time. It is irrelevant which distribution channel (analog, digital, satellite, broadband) is used, or what sort of device or device combination is used for the reception.
