Analogue transmissions in cable television networks will end at the end of February. According to Finnpanel, 89 percent of all Finnish television households owned a digital set-top box or television set in January. Seventy-eight percent of households connected to the cable network can watch digital television transmissions.
Together with the Association of Finnish Lions Clubs and Helsinki Mission, the Ministry of Transport and Communications will provide installation help at no cost in order to ease the digital switchover in cable households.
Further information is available in the Ministry's press release.
