The donator’s details in the TV user register are amended on the basis of the TV notification by entering a TV notification valid for the address given by the donator (the address at which the TV actually is). The date on which the TV was put to use and the date on which its use ended are also entered in the register in case the donator has chosen the TV notification to be valid for a fixed period (fixed-term TV notification). This means that the recipient’s name is not entered in the register.
The donator is responsible for payment of the TV fees for the period of validity of the TV notification, as well as for ensuring that the register entries are correct. However, the recipient is self responsible for ensuring that FICORA knows the address at which the TV is used. Therefore, he/she has to make sure that the donator is informed of any changes of address and discontinuation of use of TV.
When the donator informs FICORA that the use of TV ends, the TV notification valid for the recipient’s address is marked as terminated.
Since the recipient has no customer relationship with FICORA, FICORA will not make direct contact with the recipient. However, as the actual user of the TV, the recipient is in any case always ultimately responsible for having a valid TV notification for the address where he/she uses the TV. The TV fee gift certificate has no bearing on this responsibility. If, for instance, its turns out in conjunction with an inspection of TV fees that the recipient’s address has no valid TV notification, the TV user must bear the consequences. The donator’s responsibility regarding the correctness of register entries does not eliminate the recipient’s responsibility as the TV user.
The details shown in the TV user register determine whether the TV notification is valid or not.
