The donator must submit a TV fee notification by providing FICORA with the following customer details:
The details shown in the TV user register determine whether the TV notification is valid or not.
The donator’s details in the TV user register are amended on the basis of the TV notification by entering a new TV notification valid for the address given by the donator (the address at which the TV actually is). The recipient’s name is not entered in the register.
If the donator fails to pay the TV fee covering at least six months in spite of a reminder, the TV notification valid for the recipient’s address is deemed cancelled. Unpaid TV fees are distrainable without a court order. FICORA will not make a direct contact with the recipient.
If the donator’s details show more than one valid TV notification, the donator must, when amending his/her customer details (such as direct debiting or billing address details), inform FICORA separately if these amendments are not to apply to the gift TV fee also.
Since the recipient has no customer relationship with FICORA and the details of the recipient have not been entered in the TV user register, FICORA cannot obtain the recipient’s address details from the Population Register System. Therefore, the recipient has to notify the recipient’s change of address and ensure that the TV notification is valid for the address where the recipient is using the TV.
When the donator informs FICORA that the use of TV ends, the TV notification valid for the recipient’s address is marked as terminated.
The donator has a customer relationship with FICORA. As the holder of the TV notification, the donator must ensure that his/her customer details in the TV user register are correct. The donator’s responsibility regarding the correctness of register entries does not eliminate the recipient’s responsibility as a TV user.
FICORA will not make a direct contact with the recipient regarding the details on the TV notification.
